Cleaning and Care

FAWE jewellery is delicate and requires care. The materials used are delicate and therefore we recommend removing jewellery prior to bathing, exercising, gardening and sleeping. Perfume and cleaning products may damage or tarnish your jewellery. Due to the elegant nature of our bracelet and necklace designs, the sterling silver and solid 9 carat gold chain used is delicate and requires extra care.

Use warm soapy water to wash jewellery, preferably leaving in a dish of non detergent soap to soak. You can use a very soft toothbrush to carefully remove any build up. Use a polishing cloth to shine sterling silver and solid gold items.

Oxidised silver jewellery goes through a specialised treatment to obtain the blackened colour. With time, the blackened colour may lighten naturally. Cloths, chemicals and rubbing will strip the oxidised finish so we would advise to use only cold water to wash.

It is best to store sterling silver and solid gold pieces in an airtight bag or box to avoid naturally occurring oxidation.
